Project Scope:
Supply and installation of a geotextile cushion layer and a 2mm HDPE primary liner for the feed water lagoon system and effluent pond at the clients’ water treatment plant. The surface area of the system was approximately 170,000m2. The installation included spillways, causeways and other structures with the primary liner secured and sealed with HDPE plate (Fablock) cast into the concrete structures.
The lagoon system design included a longitudinal truncated berm to facilitate solids retention and management within the system. This required specific and detailed material handling and deployment strategies combined with a comprehensive traffic management plan to enable safe and efficient installation of materials.
